Can visitors to York University use the library computers and print?

Answer

Yes, visitors and alumni can obtain a 'guest account' to access wi-fi on the library computers. To obtain a guest account, a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license, a permanent resident card, or a passport must be presented at the library service desk.

For more information see:  Guest Accounts

If you wish to print, you will need to purchase a guest print card at one of the YU-card Phil stations in the library. YU-card Phil stations require a minimum of a $5.00 bill (card - $2.00, credit -$3.00). Follow the instructions closely, once the machine dispenses the card out you MUST swipe it to add the funds before you walk away.  The guest print card can release print jobs at printers found in the libraries. See the library service desk for more information.  Once at the printer you will associate the card with the 'guest account's' username and password.  Each time you come back, you will need to get a new 'guest account'.
