How long can I keep an item borrowed through Omni Interlibrary Loan (formerly RACER)?

Answer

The loan period is determined by the lending library. If the book is supplied from one of the 18 Omni libraries, the loan period will usually be 120 days (exceptions may apply). For books from a non-Omni library, loan periods are generally six weeks from the date they arrive at York.

You can check the due date for items by accessing the My Account feature in Omni.

Some items will have a book-band when you pick them up. For these items, see the due date on the book band.

If you require more time with your loans, please contact our Resource Sharing Department resourcesharing@yorku.ca.
