I need my students to access a specific print-only resource. How can I share this online?

Answer

We suggest these steps for obtaining a digital copy of a print resource:

Verify your item is available online from York University Libraries

Make a purchase suggestion

The Libraries may be able to purchase an electronic copy of required texts which can then be linked from your eClass site using stable permalinks. Please email (yul_cda@yorku.ca) the Contact Content Development & Analysis Department to inquire about purchasing an e-book. We will attempt to acquire the item and will follow up with you as soon as possible. Please note that e-textbooks are generally not available for purchase by the Libraries.

Contact York University's Copyright Office to inquire about obtaining a scanned copy to post onto your course LMS - email copy@yorku.ca

If the resource only exists in print format, it may be possible to provide you with a scan of this item, where this exists in the Libraries' collections and is covered by York University Fair Dealing Guidelines. See details on Copyright @ York.
