What are reference books?

Answer

Reference books are designed for accessing specific facts or information and can be in the form of indexes, dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographies, almanacs, directories, handbooks etc.

Reference materials are not loanable items and can not be signed out. They usually are located in the reference stacks or reference designated areas in the libraries.

When you search a title in Omni, reference materials are indicated under the Location. You will know if it is a reference item if it says the location is in Scott Reference, Bronfman Reference, Steacie Reference or Frost Reference.
