How do I get something that York Libraries doesn’t own?

Answer

By default, Omni searches for all of York Libraries resources and print books available from Omni Libraries. If you find something in Omni that York does not have, click the "Get it from another library" link (you must be signed into Omni for this service to appear).

If you cannot find what you need in Omni, you have two options:

1. Toggle the "Add results beyond York's collections" in Omni to the "on" position and rerun your search. If Omni finds the item but it is unavailable from York, select the "Get it from another library" link to place an interlibrary loan request. Note that you must be logged into Omni to see the link.

2. Complete a blank request form to initiate a request for Omni Interlibrary Loan. More information about completing the form is available at Making an Omni Request. For assistance, please see Resource Sharing contact information available at Omni Interlibrary Loan.

You can submit a Suggestion for Purchase request if the book is not available through Omni.
